Information we receive through enquiries and project work
We collect personal information when a client, contractor or site contact submits details through our enquiry form, shares them through our contact form, or gives them during a call or site visit. That can include a name, company name, role, contact details, delivery address, site address, and notes tied to a press build, tooling change or commissioning visit.
Where a project requires it, we may also record information linked to drawings, machine settings, stroke setting, guarding layouts, air line setup, operator training, and handover notes. We keep the records needed to identify the correct job, the people responsible for a site, and the equipment that was supplied or commissioned.
How the information is used in the workshop and on site
Personal information is used to quote, plan, build and deliver multi-station pneumatic presses, tooling, guarding, light curtain integration, two hand controls and related site services. It also helps us manage installation dates, site access, training attendance, and production handover records where the client needs them.
- Preparing quotations and job records
- Planning workshop work and tooling changes
- Scheduling site installation and commissioning visits
- Recording operator training and handover details
- Managing invoices, delivery notes and internal job files
Records we keep for compliance and support
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the work, for after-sales support, and for legal, tax and contract records. That may include job cards, drawings, photographs of installed equipment, attendance notes, site contact details, and correspondence linked to the project.
When the record no longer has a business or legal purpose, we delete it or make it anonymous where that is practical. Paper files, digital records, and backup copies are all handled with the same care, because a press build often carries details that must be traced back later.
Sharing details with the right people only
We do not sell personal information. We only share it when it is needed for the work, for legal compliance, or with service providers acting on our instructions. That may include staff involved in projects, installation, commissioning, training, administration, and document handling.
- Internal staff who need the information for the job
- Delivery partners handling goods or site access notes
- Professional advisers where the law requires it
- Authorities where a legal duty applies
Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd may process limited information for administrative or support purposes, under the instructions of MultiPress and subject to confidentiality obligations.
Your POPIA rights over your information
Under POPIA, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it, ask for correction of details, or object to certain processing where the law allows it. If a record is no longer needed and there is no legal reason to keep it, you may ask for deletion or restriction where applicable.
We may need to keep some records if a contract, tax rule, warranty issue, or legal claim requires them. In that case, we will only retain the parts that must stay on file and limit use to that purpose.
Security, cookies and website enquiries
We use practical security measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. Access is limited to people who need it for project handling, administration, or site support, and records are kept in a controlled manner.
Our website may use basic technical cookies or similar tools to keep the site working and to understand ordinary traffic patterns. If you submit a message through our contact form, the details you send are used to respond to the enquiry and manage the related record in the ordinary course of business.
- Keeping access limited to authorised staff
- Using passwords and controlled file storage
- Reviewing records tied to current and completed jobs
- Reducing the amount of personal data collected where possible
Questions, correction requests and contact details
If you want to access, update or question the personal information we hold about you, please use our contact form and include enough detail for us to identify the record. We may ask for proof of identity before releasing or changing information, especially where the file relates to a site visit, operator training record, or commissioning note.
This policy applies to information handled by MultiPress in Isando, Ekurhuleni, and to the operational support provided across South Africa. It should be read with any contract terms, purchase records, and project files that apply to the specific work.
