Terms of use

These terms govern use of the MultiPress website and any enquiry sent through our contact form. By using the site, you accept the limits set out below for content, project information and legal responsibility.

Using this site and its content

The site is run for MultiPress by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd, and the material on it is provided for general business use only. It covers multi-station pneumatic presses, custom tooling, guarding, commissioning, operator training and related workshop services for South African factories.

You may read, share and use the pages for internal procurement, planning and technical review, but you may not copy large sections, alter the wording, or present the material as your own sales copy. Product notes, service notes and technical descriptions are kept for practical reference and may change without notice as workshop methods, tooling layouts or safety requirements move on.

Project details, drawings and site information

When you send drawings, photos, dimensions, cycle notes or machine details through our contact form, you confirm that you are allowed to share that information with us. If the matter involves a press frame, air line layout, guarding arrangement, stroke setting or tool interface, the details you send must be accurate enough for review.

  • Do not send information that you do not have permission to share.
  • Check that dimensions, station counts and air pressure notes are current.
  • Tell us about any site limits that affect installation or commissioning.
  • Make sure operator safety notes and floor access details are included where relevant.

Engineering notes and acceptance of variation

Multi-station pneumatic presses depend on the final duty, tooling geometry, cylinder sizing, air pressure, stroke length, guarding and control method. A machine suited to assembly work may need different settings from one used for crimping, riveting, staking or pack sealing, and the same applies to two-hand controls, light curtains and fixture design.

Any description on this site is a guide, not a promise that a particular layout will suit every line. Final scope depends on the brief, the factory floor, the product to be handled, and the access available for installation or production handover.

Access to the workshop, factory floor and commissioning work

Where our team visits a site in Isando, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Gqeberha, East London, Kempton Park or Boksburg, normal factory rules apply. You must provide safe access, clear working space and the site conditions needed for installation, air line setup, press commissioning and operator training.

  • Keep the area clear for lifting, alignment and guarding checks.
  • Provide the local contact who can approve work on the day.
  • Confirm if isolation, lock-off or production pauses are needed.
  • Make available any site rules that affect entry, dress or floor movement.

If the site changes after planning, the programme and method may need to change too. That includes changes to power, compressed air, floor space, tool access or production flow.

Enquiries, quotations and order acceptance

An enquiry sent through our contact form is not an order. A quotation, drawing note or scope note is also not an order unless it is accepted in writing by the correct company representative. We may request more detail before pricing or before confirming tooling changes, guarding builds or a production handover.

Where a quotation is issued, it is based on the information provided at that time. If the brief changes, the price, schedule or scope may change as well. Materials, tooling, guards, controls and commissioning items are treated as separate project elements unless the written scope states otherwise.

Safety, operator training and live production use

Our work often affects operator safety, so the final installation must be used only with the guarding, controls and training that belong to it. Two-hand controls, light curtains and fixed guards must never be bypassed, bridged or altered without proper review. Tooling changes and stroke adjustments also need care, because a small setting change can affect press travel, clamp force and part quality.

  • Use the machine only within the agreed operating limits.
  • Keep operators trained on the correct loading and release sequence.
  • Report damaged tooling, loose fixtures or faulty safety devices before use.
  • Follow site rules for maintenance, lock-off and handover records.

We are not responsible for misuse, unauthorised changes or operation outside the agreed brief.

Liability, legal limits and contact points

To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, MultiPress and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd are not liable for indirect loss, lost production, missed deadlines or damage caused by misuse, inaccurate site information or changes made by others after handover. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

For legal or contractual notices, use the contact details published on the site and address them to the relevant department or contact person listed for the project. Pieter Sauls may be the managing director, but any binding instruction must come from the proper company channel and be capable of written confirmation.
