Press line help that starts at the tool
A press only behaves properly when the tooling, stroke and air supply sit together in the right range. Our support work covers single stations and linked stations, with checks on cylinder action, guide movement, stroke setting and the pressure needed for the task at hand.
For crimping, riveting and staking, the tooling face and depth stop matter as much as the frame. On pack sealing lines, the tool shape, dwell and guard layout need a steady hand, especially where operators work long shifts and the packs vary in size.
Guarding, two-hand controls and light curtains
Safety hardware is built into the press. We support guarding builds, two-hand controls and light curtain integration so the station works in a way that suits the process and the people using it.
- Fixed and interlocked guarding for press access points
- Two-hand controls for repeatable operator cycles
- Light curtains where the layout calls for open access and monitored entry
- Layout changes when the tooling or feed path changes
Commissioning on site and at the workshop
Commissioning is where the line moves from parts and drawings into daily use. We set the stroke, test the air lines, check the tooling travel and watch the station under load before handover.
Our team works on new installs and changes to existing lines in Isando, Kempton Park, Boksburg and the wider Ekurhuleni area, with projects handled for factories in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Gqeberha and East London as well.
Tooling changes for real production shifts
Production changes often begin with a different part, not a different press. When a job needs a new rivet form, another clamp profile or a different seal size, the tooling usually needs a fresh setting and a cleaner workflow.
- Custom tooling for assembly and press-fit work
- Fixture design for repeatable part location
- Tooling changes during changeover or product updates
- Stroke setting to suit the new process
Operator training that fits the station
Training has to match the actual machine in front of the operator. Anele Engelbrecht leads operator training with the guard position, control method, tool change steps and daily checks built into the session.
We cover safe loading, cycle control, fault spotting and the handover notes that the shift team needs at the end of a run. That matters on presses with multiple stations, where one missed setting can affect the rest of the line.
Air line setup and workshop support
Pneumatic presses depend on clean air, steady pressure and properly routed lines. If the supply is uneven or the fittings are loose, the press can drift out of spec and the station starts to feel tired before the shift is done.
Johan Ramokgopa and the workshop team support hose routing, connection checks and bench testing before the machine moves to site. Musa Hartnick handles tooling design, while Thandiwe Matlala keeps project details tied to the job plan and handover notes.
People to call for the right part of the job
MultiPress support is handled by a small team with clear roles, so the job does not get lost between stages. Pieter Sauls oversees the work, with each project moving through design, build, install and training in a practical order.
